Our client, a major player within the construction industry, is currently on the lookout for an Operations Manager to run circa £40m worth of turnover.
The primary objectives of this role will consist of:
1. Maintaining established profit margins and improving wherever possible, ensuring that all team members act in accordance with Company policy at all times in respect of all financial dealings on behalf of the Company.
2. Overseeing the Contracts Managers within your control to ensure that they function efficiently and correctly.
3. Protecting the interests of the Company and fostering good working relationships with Clients, Client advisors, and sub-contracting organizations.
4. Ensuring that all contracts achieve the company goals of being within budget, on time, safely, and to the client’s requirements.
As the Operations Manager, being fully conversant with Company procedures, you will:
1. Regularly visit all sites within your control; checking on programme and progress, the standard and quality of work, the management of safety, time keeping, the adequacy and accuracy of records, efficiency, security, use of plant and materials, the correct use of Sub-Contractors and labor, and the company’s image.
2. Manage health and safety issues relating to projects under your control.
3. Convene Project Review meetings and monitor performance.
4. Ensure all contracts are carried out in line with the company’s QA Systems.
Your knowledge and experience:
1. A suitable professional qualification is required such as ARICS, MCIOB.
2. Previous experience at a planned maintenance level.
3. A positive desire to succeed in a fast-paced environment.
