We have a current requirement for a Stores Person to join our procurement department on a permanent basis to work in our Newbridge Stores. The Stores Person will undertake works in connection with the issuing of store’s material and the maintenance of stock levels, to include purchase orders and receiving goods. Reporting to the Stores Supervisor, the role will ensure the efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of a range of goods and will have responsibility to monitor all stock within WGM Stores.
Main duties and responsibilities
* Receipt of goods in a timely manner using WGM procedures.
* Ensure goods received is correct against matching Purchase Order.
* Booking goods in and goods out.
* Checking for damages and quality of goods received.
* Notifying relevant parties where there are any discrepancies between what has been requested and what has been received.
* Ensure stock levels are checked and verified for re-ordering to ensure these are accurate and appropriate.
* Update computer system to ensure stock levels are accurate.
* Storing of materials in a safe and efficient manner.
* Kit issue materials in line with planned requirements and urgent request using correct documentation and systems.
* Keep stores clean and tidy at all times in line with H&S guidelines.
To be considered for this position you will have at least 1-2 years previous experience within a store function or similar role, you will possess excellent communication skills and have the ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of team. A full UK driving license is all required for this position.
