Job Description:
This is an outstanding opportunity to join our highly influential Smart Energy and Sustainability team. Right now, we’re looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Senior or Principal Sustainability Consultant to lead and grow our BREEAM services and team locally, based in our city centre office in Leeds. You’ll be part of our collaborative and growing team across the UK and will help with the development and delivery of a pipeline of exciting and complex projects.

Responsibilities:
* Leading the delivery of BREEAM projects.
* Part L, Energy Strategies and LCA assessment.
* Managing your own workload to meet project deadlines.
* Reviewing project details and developing targets for sustainability.
* Reviewing documentation provided by project teams, assessing this against the project’s targets and providing feedback.
* Setting up and maintaining projects via the project evidence tracker.
* Communicating sustainability requirements to internal and external team members.
* Producing reports to provide advice and guidance to clients and project teams.
* Attending site visits to review progress against sustainability targets.
* Reviewing the performance of designated projects on a monthly basis.
* Assisting in preparing bids and proposals for new work.
* Engaging with skills networks to exchange best practices.
* Attending and contributing to team meetings.
* Completing relevant training to become certified as a BREEAM assessor / AP.
Qualifications:
* Ambitious, self-motivated, and enthusiastic.
* Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills.
* Thorough understanding of the construction industry and built environment.
* Ability to manage projects and client relationships.
* Proven track record of project delivery.
* Part L modelling experience and LCA experience.
* Experience developing and managing others (Principal/Associate grades only).
* Emerging business development and sales skills.
Preferred Attributes:
* Working knowledge of building performance modelling techniques.
* Knowledge of energy/renewables/built environment disciplines.
* Ability to apply analytical skills across various scales.
* Experience in presenting analytical information clearly.
* Knowledge of planning, environmental impact assessments, or sustainability legislation.
* Understanding of structural engineering and materials specification.
* Experience in producing Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs).
* Qualifications within PAS 2050/2060/2080 standards.
* Experience in using CIBSE TM65 embodied carbon calculation methodology.
* Graphic design capabilities including software such as Adobe InDesign.
* Ability to develop digital toolkits for internal and client use.
* Hold a relevant degree or equivalent/higher.
* Qualified BREEAM Assessor.
