As a result of major project awards and in anticipation of further growth, they are looking to appoint a Power Systems Engineer. The role will be based in either Bristol or the Edinburgh area. Hybrid working is encouraged and, for an experienced HV Engineer, fully remote working will also be considered. Working on a range of technically interesting and prestigious high voltage (HV) projects, from 11kV up to 400kV, the Power Systems Engineer will be responsible for:
* Power systems analysis
* HV network systems studies - short circuit, transient stability etc
* load flow analysis
* Protection coordination
Previous experience as a Power Systems Engineer is essential, along with strong knowledge and proficiency using DigSilent and PSCAD software. A degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Power, or a related discipline, is required.
