CXK is looking for a Skills & Employability Adviser to support a case load of young people who are not in education, employment or training (NEET), or are at risk of becoming NEET, with their transition into post-16 provision. As a Skills & Employability Adviser, you will use your creativity and mentoring skills to engage young people in the Youth Employability Service (YES), supporting them to move on to their next progression.
Covering the West of the county and based in Eastbourne, we are looking for someone with experience and initiative, who can work creatively to engage young people in the service and then move onto to their next progression.
Your role will extend beyond direct beneficiary support; you’ll collaborate closely with partner organisations and community hubs throughout East Sussex, ensuring seamless referrals and continued progress for our beneficiaries.
Main responsibilities:
* Effectively liaising and communicating with a range of partner organisations to identify support for young people as needed.
* Champion and promote opportunities and resources with the caseload and partners/stakeholders.
* Maintain regular and consistent contact with young people to gain their trust, delivering effective caseload management, appropriately managing risk and safeguarding.
* Assess, action plan and review to make sure that appropriate IAG planning, and support is available for young people on caseload.
* Supporting young people in their local communities, including travel across the county. (A car is essential for this role)
