Role Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic Gardener, to support our Head Gardener in restoring our neglected grounds
and develop a new walled kitchen garden whilst maintaining the existing
beautiful gardens and landscape at The Retreat, Elcot Park. The grounds have tons of potential, and we are looking for someone who shares a passion for the outdoors, nature, and all things horticulture.
This is a varied role across the gardens which includes some propagation, fruit,
vegetable and cut flower production as well as all aspects of general garden
maintenance such as lawn care, weeding, pruning, and strimming, in addition to
year-round maintenance of meadow and woodland areas.
Please note, this is a fixed term role from April 2025 to September 2025.

Our ideal candidate will:
* Have 1-2 years' proven gardening experience.
* Have a passion for plants and understand plant care, pruning and
maintenance.
* Experience with garden machinery, including lawn mowers would be advantageous.
* Be a team player, willing to learn and get involved with a wide range
of tasks.
* Be highly motivated with a positive 'can do' attitude.
