New Business Account Coordinator
Location: Basingstoke
Salary: £28,000-£32,000 + Bonus
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm
My client who is based in Basingstoke is seeking a New Business Account Coordinator to join their exciting and friendly team. To apply for this role, you will need to be self-driven, a strong communicator, and an excellent team player. You will be responsible for the customer journey from end to end and delivering a smooth service to all.
Responsibilities:
1. Internal account management and sales order processing, with the aim of maintaining and developing the sales of a range of metals to small, medium and large accounts in accordance with targets and the business plan.
2. Inbound customer telephone, fax and e-mail order taking.
3. Outbound telephone prospecting to subcontract engineering companies, OEMs, etc., from lapsed list, key targets, and self-generated target companies.
4. Qualifying prospects and fact-finding of spend and material used.
5. Price negotiation with customers in line with company pricing policy.
6. Sales administration and order processing via ERP/Stock software.
7. Purchasing negotiation and order processing via ERP/Stock software.
8. Daily communication with and progressive Customer Relationship Management of accounts.
9. Internal liaison with office management, warehouse, and stock support functions.
10. Attend meetings when required to aid performance of duties and support business/organizational development.
11. Support other general business needs as and when required.
12. Work within and follow all sales quality management procedures in line with ISO 9001, particularly Contract Review of orders.
13. Attend meetings and contribute to company strategy and policy-making as required.
14. Any other duties as required by the company.
Key Skills:
1. Self-driven, results-oriented with a focus on margin growth and profitability.
2. General business acumen, with an ability to understand basic business finances such as turnover & gross margin.
3. Excellent face-to-face and telephone communicator able to demonstrate success and experience managing large and small accounts.
4. Basic IT skills around Microsoft Office software such as Word, Excel, and e-mail; use of ERP system would be useful.
5. Teamwork, commitment, diligence, enthusiasm & respect.
