Civil/ Architectural Engineer required for a major offshore wind developer based in England.
Responsibilities.
Lead all engineering efforts for the design of civil, structural, building services, landscape, and architectural works necessary for the effective completion of a Land Substation.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary team.
Assist Design Document process of all civil design concepts and philosophies, ensuring they align with employer's requirements.
Oversee & evaluate the final design and implementation, which will be undertaken as part of the Front-End Engineering Design by the Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Installation contractor.
Monitor and guide the EPCI contractor throughout the detailed design and implementation phases to ensure compliance with project specifications, codes and standards.
Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure all designs meet the required standards and regulations regarding all civil/architectural scope.
Conduct regular site inspections and audits to verify the quality and progress of construction works.
Provide technical guidance and support to the project team, including resolving any civil design or construction issues that arise.
Ensure all designs and construction activities comply with local, national, and international regulations and standards.
Implement and enforce health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all project personnel.Requirements
Completed studies in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or comparable courses of study.
Several years of professional experience in the field of civil, structural, building services, landscape, and architectural works for (onshore) electrical substations and power cables.
Strong understanding of UK building regulations, standards, and codes of practice.
In-depth knowledge of UK construction laws, health and safety regulations, and environmental standards. Familiarity with the planning & permitting processes in the UK.
Proficiency in engineering design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, and other relevant tools is a plus.
Experience in implementing and maintaining health and safety protocols on construction sites.
Ability to work independently and pro-actively in a fast-paced project development environment and to meet tight project deadlines.
Chartered Engineer status with a recognised institution such as the Institution of Civil Engineers or the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA).
