A leading systematic investment firm is looking for a Software Engineer to join the team responsible for building a scalable research compute platform. This platform will serve as a foundation for research teams across the business - streamlining access to compute, improving work flow efficiency, and enabling large-scale experimentation. The role sits at the intersection of software engineering and infrastructure, with a focus on developing orchestration tools, services, and APIs that support secure, reliable, and scalable access to computational resources. What you'll be working on: Building APIs, libraries, and services that power a research platform used by quants and engineers across the business Designing orchestration systems to manage job scheduling, compute clusters, and observability across multiple environments Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver a secure and seamless platform experience Helping shape the direction of a platform that supports high-performance computing at scale What they're looking for: Strong engineering fundamentals and experience working on complex back-end or infrastructure systems 2 years of hands-on experience coding in Go Proven experience designing distributed systems Familiarity with CI/CD tools (GitLab, GitHub Actions, etc.) Knowledge of security tooling (Vault, AWS IAM, LDAP, etc.) Experience building and deploying on cloud platforms (especially AWS) Bonus: interest in HPC environments, compute infrastructure, or data centres This is a high-impact engineering role with plenty of autonomy, technical breadth, and cross-team exposure.
