Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust
Our small healthcare Chaplaincy team delivers spiritual care to patients, family, and staff of all faiths and none. We need to recruit individuals with the flexibility to support us on a Bank basis (we operate our own bank system) to enable annual leave, extra support when pressure is high, and ideally some weekday evening cover from home (5pm to 10pm). Ideal candidates will have previous Chaplaincy experience, be familiar with Healthcare, be in good standing with a Faith/Belief group, and live within a comfortable distance of the NDDH site.
Main duties of the job
As a key member of the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, you will be joining an exceptional team working together to help our patients stay healthy when they need it most.
Job responsibilities
Our Chaplaincy Team spans across both Eastern and Northern services and delivers Pastoral and Spiritual care to patients, relatives, and staff. We are a small, diverse, and mainly part-time team, working to the broad 'CRISPER' model of care.
The ability to participate in on-call provision is preferred; the ability to work independently and without direct supervision as part of a small team is essential.
Working Pattern: This is a Bank role, and no fixed pattern is given, but we are happy to discuss what may be required, particularly looking for annual leave support (occasional days) and evening on-call (5-10pm from home).
Person Specification
* Previous Chaplaincy experience.
