Join Our Team as a SEND Teaching Assistant Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs (SEN)? Tradewind is looking for an experienced SEN teaching assistant (TA) to join team for a primary school in Dewsbury for four and a half days a week, starting after as soon as possible and will be ongoing until at least 20th December 2024. About the Role: We are seeking a SEN teaching assistant with a strong background in supporting children with Autism (ASC). You will play a crucial role in creating a warm and stimulating environment, guiding children through their early learning experiences. Key Details: Start Date: November 5, 2024 (immediately after the October half term) Hours: 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM (four and a half days with Wednesday being half day). Location: Primary School setting in Dewsbury. Your Responsibilities: Assist in planning and implementing engaging, age-appropriate activities that support cognitive, social, and emotional development, particularly for children with autism. Support the lead teacher in creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment tailored to individual needs. Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their independence, confidence, and curiosity. Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to the teaching team and contributing to individual learning plans. Collaborate with colleagues and parents to ensure every child's needs are met, helping them thrive in their learning journey. Qualifications: A minimum of Level 2 TA qualification is required; Level 3 is preferred.
