An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Associate Fire Engineer to join a national practice of Building Design professionals. This role involves delivering fire engineering design solutions across a wide variety of sectors, including Cities & Development, Commercial, Energy, Residential, and Transportation.
The Associate Fire Engineer Role
As a Senior member of the Fire Engineering team, you will:
Work on projects ranging from residential buildings to rail transportation and new energy facilities.
Manage multiple engineering projects from inception through delivery, ensuring compliance with fire safety standards and codes.
Support junior team members and collaborate with other senior team members to strengthen the team's technical capability.
Track project milestones and budgets to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
Stay updated with current regulations and legislation.
Develop and implement fire strategies.
Assess fire-related risks in projects and collaborate on mitigation strategies.
Review and comment on the quality of fire safety installations.
Participate in tenders for new projects and develop client relationships to identify potential work opportunities.
Prepare reports, attend design team meetings, and liaise with client representatives as needed.
Support and mentor junior team members and act as a technical reviewer on project submissions.Requirements
