Who You Are We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and self-motivated Occupational Therapist with excellent problem-solving abilities. You should be capable of working independently while managing your time and workload efficiently. Ideally, you would be based in or around Derby for face-to-face visits, though remote applicants are welcome, as digital assessments and remote communication are also utilized. What the Job Involves As a temporary Occupational Therapist with Derby City Council, you will assess and provide recommendations for customers aged 18 and over with physical disabilities, learning disabilities, and physical frailty to help maintain their independence in the community. Your responsibilities will include conducting manual handling assessments, recommending suitable equipment and adaptations, and working on projects, such as reducing the OT waiting list. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and external agencies will also be a key part of your role.
