Responsibilities Define and implement the overall supply chain strategy, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives and promoting operational excellence. Lead, manage and develop the team through the whole employee life cycle. Oversee high-level negotiations and maintain strategic partnerships with key suppliers to secure favourable agreements and ensure service quality. Collaborate with senior leadership and internal stakeholders to understand organisational needs and drive supply chain efficiency. Ensure the supply chain function adheres to legal, regulatory, and internal policies while proactively managing risks. Set KPIs and monitor the performance of the supply chain function, providing regular updates to senior stakeholders and driving continuous improvement. Identify and champion opportunities for innovation and process improvement, leveraging data insights to enhance supply chain operations. Manage and optimise the supply chain budget, ensuring cost efficiency and value delivery across all procurement activities. Role - Specific knowledge & Skills Essential Experience in leading complex Supply Chain functions for a geographically dispersed organisation Designing and implementing strategic supply chain solutions which deliver value for money to an organisation. Extensive experience in procurement, including use of frameworks (e.g. Crown Commercial) and contract negotiation. Proven experience of embedding new ways of working across multiple areas within an organisation Experience of working as an internal service provider to operational functions Appropriate qualification e.g. Degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field, or Full MCIPS status Experience of managing a budget to drive cost efficiencies and value Experience of stakeholder management and engagement Desirable Familiarity with charity sector or public procurement regulations.
