Are you an experienced Travel Specialist looking for your next role? My client, an independent tour operator, is seeking a dynamic travel specialist with solid experience in selling tailor-made worldwide holidays and a passion for luxury travel. It is essential that the successful candidate has experience in selling worldwide tailor-made itineraries within the travel industry, along with a proven and consistent track record of exceeding sales targets and providing exceptional customer service. This role will be based at my client's modern offices in the Altrincham area.
Role in a nutshell:
As a Travel Specialist, you will be required to deliver & maximise targeted sales & profit, securing strong levels of customer loyalty through service and relationship management. You will also be responsible for proactively seeking new business opportunities to increase the business footfall. Lastly, you will need to be a dynamic individual who is able to establish and develop strong relationships with new and existing customers.
Job Duties:
1. Answer incoming sales calls from clients and convert them into confirmed bookings through delivering a professional & friendly service.
2. Create and identify new opportunities for outbound sales calling to secure new bookings.
3. Develop loyalty and increase customer satisfaction with key clients through excellent account management and regular touchpoints, including face-to-face meetings.
4. Maintain a strong commercial understanding of both the market and pricing.
5. Accurately price & book all elements of a client's holiday using relevant systems and working directly from hotel contracts where applicable.
6. Deliver the best tailor-made holiday price which represents value through your expert understanding and knowledge of current air and hotel special offers, securing added value from partners.
7. Increase revenue and profit on every tour and tailor-made booking through upselling and adding on services including extensions, upgrades, meal plans, and car hire where appropriate.
8. Manage proactively and effectively booking amendments and cancellations with the support of the Sales Administration team and to minimum standards and time frames.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
1. English Language & Mathematics to GCSE/O LEVEL standard.
2. Competent in Word, Outlook, Travelink, and Amadeus.
3. Proven successful track record in sales with excellent selling and negotiating skills.
4. Practical experience in delivering high-quality customer service.
5. Excellent written, verbal, and listening communication skills.
Required Personal Qualities:
1. Passion for travel.
2. Confident, sociable, approachable, and enthusiastic communication and behavior.
3. Enjoys interacting with and meeting people, demonstrating successful interpersonal skills on all levels.
4. High degree of numeracy - can work with different currencies, rates, and conversions.
5. Good commercial awareness.
6. Highly self-motivated.
