About you
We're looking for an Stock Controller to join our Central Production Unit (CPU) in Park Royal. This is the chance to be a part of something innovative, inspirational and exciting. Please note that this is a 12 month maternity cover.
The Role:
As a Stock Controller, you will be analysing supply chain data to ensure stock availability, placing purchase orders, and transferring stock, and maintaining purchase and pricing reports.
To ensure success as a stock controller, you should possess extensive knowledge of inventory management and experience in a related industry. An accomplished stock controller will be someone whose expertise translates into optimally maintained stock levels.
Key Responsibilities:
Review supply chain data to ensure the uninterrupted availability of stock and over stocking
Organising delivery schedule according to current lead times and weekly usage
Tracking shipments and coordinating internal stock transfers, as well as resolving delays
Placing and receiving orders to replenish stocks as needed
Maintaining and updating daily shipment records, as well as purchases and pricing reports.
Checking and maintaining orders quality
Processing orders and oversees cycle of order fulfilment
Responsible for making sure supplies, stock, materials, packages, and/or products are processed through the delivery and/or warehouse system efficiently and safely
Maintaining records, resolving and adjusting discrepancies during the stock taking process
Assisting operations in inventory processes such as weekly stock counts, audit of warehouses.
Ensuring all stocks are accurately allocated
Recognising any errors in paperwork, including identifying potential stores errors (with internal orders, pick lists)
Running weekly stock reports for management/finance teams
Liaising with Dispatch and Distribution Team to ensure that everything requested for stores is supplied in the required time
Coordinating stock control operations with warehouse staff, as well as the sales and finance departments
Reviewing documentation and monitor product codes to search for discrepancies; troubleshoot quantity discrepancies between stock and records
Support forecasting, planning, purchasing, and logistics teams to manage receipts and shipments to maximize inventory turns
Our requirements:
Previous experience in a warehouse environment, inventory, goods in, stock control and picking for orders.
Ability to work in a team or individually
‘Can do’, hands-on and proactive attitude
Good time keeping skills
Good numeracy and communication skills with a good command of the English language, both written and spoken
Flexible to work various hours on shift rota basis, including weekends and evenings
Numerate and computer literate in standard IT packages (purpose of booking in and out etc.)
