About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher to join our thriving mainstream secondary school in Wembley, London. This is a permanent position, starting as soon as possible, within a specialised SEN unit. You will be working with students with diverse needs, supporting their academic, social, and emotional development to help them reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver high-quality teaching and tailored learning plans for students with special educational needs.
* Work closely with SENCO, support staff, and external professionals to implement individual education plans (IEPs).
* Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
* Monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
* Engage with parents and guardians to provide updates on student development and well-being.
* Promote a positive and stimulating learning environment for all students.
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
* Proven experience working with SEN students, preferably within a secondary school setting.
* Strong understanding of SEN policies, including EHCPs.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards students with diverse learning needs.
