Credit Risk Analyst (Mortgages)
Location: Farnborough
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 + benefits
My client based in Farnborough is seeking a Credit Risk Analyst to join their team. You will be responsible for protecting the Company from fraud and providing vital support to the Credit Team. Responsibilities include Broker Reviews, handling Broker Panel queries, monitoring broker quality via declined and cancelled rates, analyzing data, and maintaining a relationship with the Sales team.
Daily Duties
1. Act as a point of referral on Broker Panel queries from around the business, recommending whether a broker should be removed or reinstated to the panel.
2. Accurately analyze all intelligence received on brokers to protect the business.
3. Help protect the Company from fraud risk using anti-fraud systems such as Hunter, CIFAS, and SIRA.
4. Provide professional, efficient, and high-standard customer service to the business, customers, intermediaries, valuers, and solicitors.
5. Action and maintain all lender information on Brokers, reporting correctly onto the SIRA system.
6. Manage all broker appeals and panel queries from across the business.
7. Develop and maintain cooperative relationships with internal stakeholders and investigate all referrals professionally.
8. Utilize fraud systems such as CIFAS, SIRA, and Hunter to mitigate potential losses.
9. Investigate all intelligence and take appropriate action.
10. Conduct Broker reviews and liaise with sales for broker visits or removals, preparing management reports for the Credit Committee.
11. Report removal decisions professionally to Broker Support, the Broker, FCA, and other Lenders.
12. Prepare Management Reports in a timely manner for Exco or Credit Committee meetings.
13. Analyze broker data to protect the business.
Skills and Experience
1. Current or previous experience in the mortgage industry with a mortgage underwriting background, having held a mandate.
2. Proven ability to exercise good commercial and professional judgment.
3. Effective written and verbal communication skills.
4. Good attention to detail.
5. PC literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
6. Enthusiastic, flexible, and eager to learn and develop a career.
7. Knowledge of Hunter, CIFAS, and SIRA systems is beneficial but not essential.
