My client, an engineering company based in Wokingham, is looking to recruit a Customer Service Representative on a full-time permanent basis. The role will be working within the Customer Services Team, assisting the Production Planning, Sales, and Marketing teams.
Responsibilities:
1. Taking customer service calls and dealing with a wide range of customer enquiries. This is not a call centre and therefore not a huge amount of calls per day inbound.
2. Processing purchase orders.
3. Quotation of standard and bespoke products.
4. Liaison with production / external suppliers to follow up outstanding orders and keep customers informed of any changes to delivery dates.
5. Dealing with customer complaints/return requests.
6. General office duties and administrative support to sales personnel and other departments as required.
Education / Experience:
1. Previous experience in a similar role.
2. At least 5 GCSE Grade C passes or equivalent to include Maths and English Language.
3. Computer literate (good working knowledge of Microsoft office).
4. Experience in SuperOffice or other CRM systems is advantageous but not essential as training will be given.
5. Able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, with an excellent telephone manner.
6. Any knowledge/experience of engineering or manufacturing would be an advantage.
Hours of work are 08.30 - 17.00 / 09.00 - 17.30. A competitive salary of £26k per annum is on offer for the right candidate. Additional benefits package including contributory Pension (3%), Group Life Insurance (non-contributory), and Private Healthcare (after a qualifying period).
