We have a fantastic opportunity within our HR Department for a CSR Coordinator on a 12 month fixed term contract.
The successful candidate will be responsible for raising the profile of Stateside Foods in the local and surrounding areas to make us the employer of first choice by supporting and developing our internal and external CSR initiatives in line with our CSR strategy. Responsibilities include:
1. Communicating company news via the newsletter, website, social media, and local newspapers.
2. Developing and maintaining links with agreed external contacts including local councils, schools, and colleges.
3. Supporting the delivery of training to employees and employee engagement initiatives to develop and maintain a sustainable workforce.
4. Monitoring and recording the social impact of our charity, community, and school activities.
An overview of the role is detailed below:
Internal Communications and Employee Experience
1. Responsible for employee and change communications – creating and delivering messages across a wide range of projects, campaigns, and regular organisational updates and news using effective channels such as the company newsletter and whole workforce email.
2. Focusing as much on engagement as broadcast communication, influencing and encouraging employees from senior level to shop floor.
3. Working with senior team members to gather information for inclusion in the company CSR report.
4. Designing and producing the company CSR report, in-line with the Global Reporting Initiative standards.
5. Writing and producing the company newsletter.
6. Considering and suggesting improvements to employee wellbeing, e.g., benefits package, mental health awareness, coordinating wellness weeks in partnership with Bolton Arena.
7. Promoting active use of company benefits including Health Assured and gym membership.
8. Supporting and developing initiatives to maintain our Investors in People status.
9. Coordinating and communicating Inclusion and Diversity initiatives throughout the year.
External Communications
1. Positive promotion through design and development of media content and digital/social assets for social media platforms and company website.
2. Producing literature for use at events / as part of recruitment.
3. Producing and updating literature to promote the apprenticeship programmes.
4. Updating the company website with news and information.
Learning & Development
1. Supporting the creation, transfer, and maintenance of online training courses for employees.
2. Supporting the Training / Apprentice Supervisor with absence cover for Training Database and KPI reporting.
3. Creating and managing content for Manager’s Support Guides on the company intranet.
CSR
1. Working with local schools and colleges to promote manufacturing and raise career aspirations of local people, including working in partnership with the IGD to deliver workshops, writing and delivering STEM day learning sessions, and supporting local students with mock interview sessions.
2. Acting as Westhoughton High School’s Enterprise Adviser in partnership with the Greater Manchester Combined Authority to ensure achievement of the Gatsby objectives for local students.
3. Tracking attendance at schools for impact reporting purposes.
4. Coordinating community and charity events.
5. Supporting apprentices with Charity Challenge communications.
6. Reporting and recording staff fund-raising efforts.
7. Responding to internal and external donation requests.
8. Updating the company website and CSR notice boards with news and information.
9. Promoting active use of company benefits including EAP and gym membership.
10. Raising awareness of GroceryAid to maintain our Gold Award.
11. Supporting initiatives to maintain our Investors in People status.
12. Monitoring social media activity elsewhere to put forward new initiatives.
13. Arranging quarterly litter picks.
14. Purchasing promotional merchandise.
15. Coordinating our attendance at Food Festival / Business Awards admin.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal are required with strong administration experience. Organisational skills are key with the ability to prioritise.
