An exciting opportunity has arisen for a EPRR Manager, the post holder will work as part of a dynamic team in delivering an effective service for the NHS across the system of Derby and Derbyshire.
You will be part of the Derby and Derbyshire ICB EPRR Team reporting directly to the Assistant Director of EPRR and will support the development and maintenance of emergency preparedness arrangements across their designated area.
You will provide support and specialist advice on emergency planning and business continuity management, preparedness, response and recovery to internal and external stakeholders.
The role involves working with and supporting NHS Trusts, Local Authorities and Public Health teams across the range of emergency preparedness.
You will ensure Derby and Derbyshire ICB and the local system are fully prepared to manage major incidents, both locally and across wider health areas in an integrated and cohesive manner. This will be in accordance with the Civil Contingencies Act (2004), NHS England Emergency Preparedness Framework and associated emergency planning and business continuity legislation, guidance and regulation.

Job responsibilities
Support the delivery of the established work programme for the Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response (EPRR) service capable of meeting all statutory, regulatory and NHS requirements ensuring alignment with the activity of the organisation, specifically:
Support on the development and co-ordination of all aspects of emergency planning for the ICB and its managed and contracted services;
Support the ICBs response to declared incidents and emergencies as appropriate, acting as a specialist advisor in emergency planning;
Support in ensuring that all processes embedded align to the EPRR Core Standards and relevant legislation;
Support in research and development programmes contributing to the advancement of emergency planning within a health context;
Support in the development and maintenance of appropriate systems, processes and policies for Derby and Derbyshire ICB in line with duties as a category 1 responder;
Support in the development and delivery of a training and exercising programme that is fit for purpose to support the delivery of the EPRR agenda for work and in line with the EPRR Core Standards and associated guidance/legislation;
Support in the development of the Operational Coordination Centre ensuring that EPRR processes are embedded to allow a response to EPRR incidents;
Work closely with ICB and provider members of staff to ensure that ICB processes are aligned to regional and system response to incidents;
Identify national, regional and local policy changes and developments which impact the ICB (both direct and indirect) and translate these into operational practice as required;
To support in EPRR development, delivery and advice in the absence of the Head of EPRR;
To support and oversee the delivery of the on-call function for the ICB specifically the management of the on-call rota, and the on-call packs for those delivering the role of 1st and 2nd on-call.

Knowledge Training and Experience
* Educated to degree level in relevant subject or equivalent experience
* Extensive Knowledge of Specialist area (EPRR)
* Demonstratable experience of healthcare
