About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Sussex Projects Team at the University of Sussex.
We are seeking a dynamic colleague to lead on the HR System Implementation Project, which aims to modernise and streamline HR and payroll operations by replacing the current outdated system with a new SaaS solution. The project will automate manual processes, enhance reporting capabilities, and enable accurate, data-driven decision-making, improving efficiency and effectiveness across the HR Division.
About you
As a Senior Project Manager, you'll spearhead the system implementation project, leveraging your expertise to help us fulfil the University’s ambition of becoming an employer of choice and to enable our staff to flourish. If you thrive in large, complex environments and have a proven track record of successful delivery of transformational system implementation projects involving complex data, join us in shaping the future. A qualification in PRINCE2 or similar experience is a must.
About our Division
Established in 2021, Sussex Projects is a fairly new function that exists within the University with a mission to:
* Act as a central enterprise function for the selection, prioritisation and control of all projects and programmes in line with the University’s strategic objectives and capacity to deliver.
* Establish and implement project management best practices for the benefit of the University in a way that encourages collaboration, standardisation, and overall improvement in project results across all strategic portfolios.
Headed up by the Director of Strategic Projects and Change, the division provides control and oversight over our ambitious capital programme, a multi-million pound 10-year transformation, delivering complex change across our four institutional portfolios (1) ITS, (2) Estates, (3) Research and Enterprise, (4) Education and Students.
The University of Sussex values the diversity of its staff and students, and we welcome applicants from all backgrounds.
