This role is pivotal, responsible for overseeing the implementation and maintenance of safety protocols and quality control processes in a manufacturing plant that supplies products to the building sector. Key Responsibilities SHEQ Manager:
1. Promoting health and safety in the workplace, fostering a culture that prioritises customer service for both internal and external stakeholders, and demonstrating effective collaboration. The role will require you to develop, implement, and maintain safety policies in compliance with HSE regulations. Regular safety audits, risk assessments, and inspections will be essential in identifying and mitigating potential hazards.
2. Investigating workplace incidents and accidents, providing safety training for employees, and developing quality control procedures to ensure that products not only meet industry standards but also align with customer specifications. The position demands a keen analytical mind to maintain and analyse quality data, and you will collaborate with production teams to address any quality-related issues that arise.
3. Coordinating with suppliers to ensure the quality of incoming materials and managing customer complaints effectively. Keeping abreast of local, state, and federal regulations is fundamental, and you will participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety and quality performance in the workplace.
Key Skills and Experience SHEQ Manager:
1. A minimum of five years' experience in safety and quality management within a manufacturing environment, and must be NEBOSH qualified.
2. Strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and familiarity with quality management software will be crucial for success in this role.
3. Certifications in safety and quality management, such as Six Sigma or Certified Quality Engineer, are highly desirable.
4. A full, clean driving license is also essential.
