We design, install, and maintain all types of automatically operating fire extinguishing systems and electronically activated fire detection and alarm systems for large projects through to servicing small standalone products. Sprinkler Design Engineer, Roles and Responsibilities
Ensure designs are produced to a high quality, are compliant with the relevant standards and meet necessary timescales, while maintaining a professional relationship with clients, team members and sub-contractors.
Responsibilities
* Production and design responsibility of fire protection sprinkler system installation drawings and coordination models.
* Production of hydraulic calculations.
* Onsite surveying, where necessary.
* Attend coordination meetings within the wider clientsâ task team.
* Carry out checks to ensure designs are complaint to the relevant standards and project specifications.
* Mentor junior members of the design department.
Qualifications
* Knowledge of LPC Sprinkler Rules is essential.
* Minimum of LCPB Basic Design Qualification. (not essential, training can be provided)
* LPCB Intermediate and FHC Design Qualifications would be advantageous.
* Knowledge of FM and NFPA standards would be advantageous.
Experience
* Minimum of 5 Years experience in the design of fire protection sprinkler systems. (not essential)
* Experienced in producing technical drawings in AutoCAD and Revit sheets.
* Experience in the production of the hydraulic calculations using the Canute FHC design software.
