Commercial Project Manager
Our client is a world-leading industrial gases company focused on serving energy, environmental, and emerging markets. Due to continued growth, they are now looking to recruit a Commercial Project Manager to join a world-leading Equipment Sales and Plant Support division, responsible for global sales of equipment and after-sales services to third-party customers as well as joint ventures.
Responsibilities
1. Lead scope generation for the proposal with interaction with the Business Development Managers.
2. Participate in customer engagement meetings.
3. Prepare estimates for the proposal, working with the engineering teams.
4. In conjunction with the Business Development Manager, prepare proposals for the customer.
5. Conduct project execution activities including cost management, schedule, budget, safety performance aspects, and compliance with applicable legislation.
6. Be the customer's privileged point of contact for projects once in execution.
7. Ensure that project scope changes are raised and managed.
8. Setup and execute projects in SAP including cost tracking and reporting.
9. Manage Service Orders and Service Contracts, cost tracking, and reporting.
Experience & Qualifications
1. Candidates will hold a Degree in Engineering.
2. Extensive work experience in the Industrial Gases, Oil & Gas, or related field including ideally project management experience.
3. Proven commercial/contract management experience.
4. Strong communication skills.
5. Understanding of sales, finance, etc.
6. External focus.
7. Familiarity with SAP system and processes.
8. Ability to make timely and sound decisions.
9. Ability to work with limited supervision.
