At The Cadogan, a Belmond Hotel, we are seeking an experienced and highly organized HR & Training Officer to cover a maternity leave within our Human Resources department. In this role, you will provide comprehensive support in various HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, training and development, and performance management. You will be a key point of contact for employees and management, ensuring smooth HR operations and fostering a positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Coordinate the recruitment process, including job postings, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and facilitating the onboarding process.
* Provide advisory support to management and employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
* Assist in the development and delivery of HR training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
* Ensure accurate and up-to-date maintenance of employee records and data, including leaves, attendance, and performance appraisals.
* Manage employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, grievance procedures, and disciplinary actions.
* Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and best practices.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support organizational initiatives and projects.
Requirements:
* Minimum of 3 years of HR experience, preferably in the hospitality or service industry.
* Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment legislation, and HRIS systems.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships at all levels of the organization.
* Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
* Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Proficient in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HRIS software.
* Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
