SEN Teacher (EYFS) - MPS/ UPS (Plus SEN1) - from Easter 2025 (or earlier if possible)
We are looking for a highly dedicated and enthusiastic primary class teacher to join our improving and forward-thinking special needs school.
If you are a teacher currently working in mainstream but looking for something a little different, this could be for you. We would also be keen to hear from candidates already working within the specialist sector.
We have very high standards and aspirations for our children. We are focused on each student achieving their individual potential rather than phonics screening or SATS results. The aim of our curriculum is to ensure that students are well prepared for life beyond Wyvern, which includes their self-care, communication, independence, social skills, as well as English and Maths.
Please be aware that it is not required for candidates to hold a specific SEN qualification in order to be considered for this role.
If you are a creative teacher with expert knowledge of differentiation to meet the needs of children with SEND or a love for real-life interactive teaching strategies, we would love to hear from you.
Teamwork is essential in all of our classes, and successful applicants will work as part of a supportive team. This includes your class team of LSA/MTA/HLTA staff and the wider pathway and school team.
We have an established effective programme of supporting Early Career teachers with a passion for SEND.
We welcome visits to our school. If you would like to come and see us, please make contact by telephone or email to personnel@wyvern.kent.sch.uk.
If you would like to discuss this post further, please contact our HR Department on 01233 621468.
