Lead Salesforce Development Engineer, Nottingham
Capital One is seeking an experienced Salesforce Development Engineer to lead our Salesforce platform team at our Nottingham head office.
Responsibilities
1. Lead the Salesforce Centre of Excellence to ensure scalable and best practice platform development.
2. Serve as the technical lead for a self-organised Salesforce team responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining core features.
3. Drive integration strategies with enterprise tooling and AWS solutions, including Snowflake, Logzio, and New Relic.
4. Create and prioritize a platform roadmap aligned with enterprise standards and business needs.
5. Govern and steer overall platform solutions, representing a key figure in solution design forums.
Qualifications
1. Proven Salesforce experience with strong knowledge of architecture and API limits.
2. Experience integrating Salesforce with internal and third-party applications.
3. Proficiency in writing Apex classes and triggers.
4. Familiarity with Lightning Design System and Lightning Web Components.
5. Working knowledge of SFDX CLI, configuration tasks, and certifications such as Salesforce System Architect, Platform Developer 1, and Integration Architect.

Work Environment
This is a permanent role based in Nottingham, with a hybrid work model allowing office and remote work, primarily in the office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
