Balco Ltd a leading provider of innovativebalcony systems across Europe is now looking for an experienced anddriven Commercial Manager to support our growth in the UK market.In this role you will be responsible for a broad range ofcommercial tasks ensuring that our projects are delivered with thehighest quality and profitability from sales support to projectcompletion. The position is based at our office in Taunton butManchester could also be an alternativelocation.
Your Role as CommercialManager
As a Commercial Manageryou will play a key role in our team handling a range of commercialtasks from sales support to project delivery. This position isbased in Taunton but Manchester is also a potentiallocation.
KeyResponsibilities
You will workclosely with our sales team to review client creditworthiness usingtools like CreditSafe and social media. You will review tenderdocuments to ensure all relevant details are included in quotes andcontracts and you will standardize sales quotes to maintainconsistency and accuracy across allprojects.
Additionally you will be responsiblefor calculating net costs for materials labour freight andinstallation of our balcony and balustrade systems whilecollaborating with our pricing teams at other European offices todeliver accurate and competitive quotes. You will also manage valueengineering requests and repricing during the tender phase to meetcustomer requirements and project needs.
Duringthe preconstruction phase you will ensure that all design work iscompleted and where possible integrated into contracts. You willprepare cost analyses and cash flow forecasts to support smoothcommercial delivery and negotiate contract clarifications andupdates with clients to ensure mutualunderstanding.
You will also play a key role insupporting operational activities by overseeing and updatingproject cost reports and tracking cost allocations. By providingcommercial insight during the design and production phases you willhelp manage cost implications and ensure that any deviations frominitial cost estimates are reported andaddressed.
In terms of procurement and sitemanagement you will ensure that purchasing decisions are madecosteffectively avoiding unnecessary expenditures. You will alsomonitor and improve bulk purchasing strategies for site materialsto drive efficiency and cost control.
On anongoing basis you will lead monthly commercial reviews providingforecasts on cash flow and financial performance. You will managenet reviews for each project monitor spending patterns and ensurethat payment processes and contract completions are carried out ontime and in accordance withagreements.
YourProfile
To succeed in this roleyou should have experience in a commercial role within theconstruction engineering or related industries with strong skillsin cost estimation tender management and contract administration.You should also have a solid understanding of UK constructionregulations and be accustomed to working internationally to ensurecoordinated pricing and procurementstandards.
