Key Responsibilities
1. Operate forklifts to safely load, unload, and transport materials across the warehouse or yard.
2. Handle electrical waste materials, ensuring careful and compliant handling.
3. Perform manual handling tasks such as lifting, sorting, and moving items as required - this role is not solely forklift operation.
4. Organise inventory by moving and stacking pallets accurately.
5. Conduct daily checks and basic maintenance of forklifts to ensure safety standards.
6. Work collaboratively with warehouse staff to meet deadlines and maintain productivity.
7. Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental guidelines.
8. Support general warehouse duties as required when forklift operation is not needed.
What We're Looking For
1. Valid forklift license (e.g., Counterbalance) with relevant experience.
2. Experience in a fast-paced warehouse or industrial setting (experience with waste management or recycling is a plus).
3. Good physical fitness - this role involves manual handling and standing for extended periods.
4. A keen eye for detail and commitment to safe working practices.
