Area Sales Manager / Sales Engineer / Business Development Manager required to join a global leading manufacturer of compressed air systems.
The successful candidate will work remotely, covering Kent, including Maidstone, Ashford, Canterbury, Medway, Dartford, Bromley, Tunbridge Wells, and surrounding areas, selling compressed air equipment such as compressors, nitrogen generators, blowers, dryers, and associated equipment while managing key accounts via OEM customers.
Ideally, the candidate will have experience selling, servicing, or managing accounts within engineering, particularly within compressed air or transferable products such as pumps, valves, plant equipment, pneumatics, medical gas, hydrogen, hydraulics, rotating equipment, MRO, machinery, power tools, blowers, dryers, nitrogen generators, industrial systems, or similar. Full product training will be provided.

1. £35,000-£38,000 (OTE £50,000) depending on experience

Role Responsibilities:
1. Manage a number of key accounts for compressed air equipment via distribution channels and OEM customers.
2. Grow existing relationships as well as engage in business development selling compressed air products and services.
3. Maintain new compressor sales with demonstration, exhibition, and negotiation to achieve targets.
4. Work closely with the compressed air Service Department to ensure an excellent standard of after-sales service is provided.
5. Liaise with various engineering departments.
Requirements:
1. Experience as a Key Account Manager, Account Manager, Area Sales Manager, Sales Engineer, Business Development Manager, Technical Sales Engineer, Sales Representative, or similar within engineering.
2. Compressor Service Engineers looking to transition into sales roles will also be considered.
3. A technical engineering qualification, Apprentice trained, HNC, HND, or Degree is advantageous.
4. Experience selling, servicing, or managing accounts within engineering in compressed air or transferable products.
5. Determination, enthusiasm, and motivation to succeed and grow with a reputable global manufacturer.
6. Knowledge of the compressed air market such as compressors, vacuum systems, filtration, blowers & dryers, downstream equipment, refrigeration, nitrogen generators, or similar products/services is advantageous.
7. Full clean driving license and willingness to travel across Kent.
