What will you work on?
The Key Account Manager is required to maximize opportunities, manage risk, deliver on profitability goals, develop effective long-term business relationships, and exceed customer expectations, within their portfolio of accounts.
How will you create impact?
1. Developing bi-annual business plans that deliver upon company goals and meet customer needs.
2. Deliver product presentations, business proposals, and ad plans to customers on time.
3. Understand the customer timelines and proactively provide customers with all information and materials required to make decisions and manage business effectively.
4. Work with the support team to develop forecasts that best reflect market realities; update forecasts as required, on a monthly basis as a minimum.
5. Timely and effective review of actual performance to ensure goals are achieved and adjust plans as necessary.
6. Manage customer specific budgets and update Salesforce.
7. Analysis of sell-through data and market intelligence to maximize business opportunities while minimizing risk.
8. Communicate clearly and efficiently with customers; and provide fast solutions to challenges.
9. Work proactively and effectively with team members to deliver the best possible customer service.
10. Work in a team environment with a friendly and diplomatic manner.
11. Quickly gain a thorough understanding of all account business objectives and marketing plans by gaining multi-level and cross-functional contacts within your account portfolio.
12. Develop innovative sales and marketing-led account plans that will maximize Spin Master’s performance within each account.
13. Co-ordinate trade marketing and marketing activity within your accounts to ensure delivery of planned volume, distribution, and profit targets.
14. Maximize account profitability through strategic business planning including delivery of volume, revenue, and margin, creative promotional work, and good use of data to provide customer solutions.
15. Work closely with accounts to gain joint agreement on objectives for sales growth whilst managing each account selections process.
16. Negotiate at senior level to ensure the company maximizes the advantage of long-term supply agreements and optimizes all elements of the marketing mix.
17. Accurate forecasting and working closely with the planning team to ensure stock is delivered to accounts as required.
How will you fit into the team?
Report directly to the National Account Manager, within a team of 2 others; Junior Key Account Manager and Customer Communications Coordinator.
What are your skills and experience?
1. Demonstrated success managing a business portfolio.
2. Customer-driven approach and a “go-getter” attitude.
3. Ability to build and maintain relationships, both externally and internally.
4. Proficiency in MS Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), SAP, Salesforce an asset.
5. Demonstrated organization, planning, and communication skills.
6. Goal-oriented to achieve targets through self-motivation, persistence, and determination.
7. Ability to create and maintain business presentations, Excel files, and read POS reports.
8. Thorough understanding and use of forecasting systems.
9. Full clean driving license.
