The Role:
We’re looking for a talented WordPress Web Developer to join our marketing team for a 2 month contract. In this role, you’ll help transform our apari-digital.com website into a best-in-class digital experience by collaborating closely with our Web & Multimedia Designer to build a high-converting website that will leave a lasting impression.
This role is more than just building and maintaining a responsive WordPress site—you’ll also play a key part in setting up a secure hosting infrastructure and implementing GTM tagging to track events which will help drive meaningful insights.
Key Responsibilities:
WordPress Development
1. Build, customise, and maintain WordPress websites using themes, plugins, and custom code as needed.
2. Optimise websites for speed, performance, and responsiveness.
3. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
Tagging & Tracking
1. Implement Google Tag Manager (GTM) tags and event tracking for Google Analytics, CRM platforms, and advertising platforms.
2. Ensure accurate data tracking and integration with analytics and reporting tools.
3. Work with marketing team to analyse and improve tracking workflows.
Hosting Infrastructure
1. Set up and manage the website hosting environment, ensuring security, scalability, and uptime.
2. Monitor server performance and troubleshoot hosting-related issues.
3. Manage backups, updates, and SSL certificates.
Collaboration
1. Work closely with the Web & Multimedia Designer to create high-converting web pages aligned with brand guidelines and UX best practices.
2. Provide input on web design and functionality to improve user engagement and lead generation.
3. Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including dev and product teams.
Requirements:
1. Experience (3+ yrs) in WordPress development, including custom themes, plugins, and page builders (e.g., Elementor, WPBakery).
2. Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
3. Good understanding of UX/UI principles.
4. Experience with Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, and event tracking setup.
5. Familiarity with hosting platforms (e.g., AWS, WP Engine, SiteGround) and domain management.
6. Knowledge of SEO best practices and performance optimisation tools.
7. Experience with CRM integration and marketing automation tools (e.g., HubSpot, ZohoCRM, etc).
8. Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite or similar design tools.
9. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
10. Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
