Long Term Teachers are working with a fantastic special school for learners aged 3 - 19, who are looking to appoint a versatile and hard-working Cover Supervisor to join their team.
All students have an Educational Health Care Plan (EHCP) and have a variety of complex additional needs. You will play a pivotal role in not only supporting their academic development, but their social and emotional wellbeing too.
You will be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons that are set by the classroom teacher. Having a good understanding of most subjects would be helpful. The school is looking for someone flexible and willing to adapt to previous classes.
Teaching qualifications are not necessarily essential but we do ideally need someone who has vast amounts of experience working in schools. Having a degree in a specific subject (e.g English) would also be beneficial.
About you:
* Experience working with children in an educational setting
* Must have excellent behaviour management and feel confident in running the classroom
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Flexibility and adaptability to work across a variety of different subjects and with a variety of students
* A commitment to inclusive education and supporting students with SEN.
There are opportunities for flexible work to suit your current schedule. However, if you demonstrate to be an excellent addition to the team, there may be an opportunity to progress into long-term or permanent work within the school. If you are also interested in long-term permanent positions, please let us know!
