Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Blandford Forum Salary: £12.82 - £14.72 Per Hour (Depending on Experience) Start Date: January 2025 Contract Type: Full-Time/Part-Time The Role: As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide essential support to students with a range of special educational needs, including autism, dyslexia, and speech and language difficulties. Working closely with the teaching staff, you will help these students access the curriculum, develop their skills, and gain confidence in a positive and inclusive learning environment. What you’ll have to do as a SEN TA: Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with SEN. Help implement individual education plans (IEPs) and monitor progress. Assist in creating a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment. Support students with their academic work and personal development. Adapt teaching methods to cater to the individual needs of each student. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external specialists to ensure a holistic approach to learning. Requirements & Experience: Experience working with students with SEN as a SEN Teaching Assistant is preferred. Relevant SEN qualification or Teaching Assistant, childcare or similar qualification is desirable. Knowledge about different special educational needs is a must.
