Governance Manager Your team Reporting into the Senior Risk Manager, the Governance Manager will be responsible for supporting the enterprise risk arm of the Risk & Assurance function, alongside peers from Technology Risk & Assurance. You will play a key role in supporting and aiding the business in leading and controlling risk through change implementation. You will co-ordinate governance over change across the division. You will ensure key controls are identified and detailed throughout the change lifecycle across the business. You will then use this information to report directly upwards to the UKI Risk Committee and Leadership team. What you’ll do Helping to drive a robust change governance risk culture across the UKI division. Establish and uphold a framework that establishes the standard for change governance in the business. Work with peers within Risk Management & Assurance to help define and implement team strategy and reporting mechanisms to build and maintain a high level of investment and support from the business into change governance. Craft and deliver training that gives direction to the business on their responsibilities for standard methodology change governance. Build and maintain processes for the business to follow to ensure that change governance is handled appropriately. Build and handle relationships with partners at all levels to support the team in meeting change governance objectives and ensuring the documentation stays up to date with business change. Stay ahead of internal and external factors that may inspire change governance strategy and adapt any training, processes, and documents to reflect any changes. Challenge ways of working, both internally within the team and from our internal partners. Ensure standard processes are being followed and advise areas on how improvements can be made. How you’ll do it Confirmed experience working in change governance, risk management or project risk management role. The ability to build and maintain relationships with key partners at all levels, selling the benefits of effective governance. Ability to deliver through others, effectively handling deadlines both for yourself and your team. Knowledge in the hierarchy of efficiency of controls, guiding the business on the most appropriate control types to control risk exposure. Knowledge and practical experience in crafting and implementing change governance framework, processes, and training. Ability to translate change governance terminology into business language that all can understand. Confidence in your knowledge and experience to challenge first line partners on change governance.
