What you can add:
1. Provide high quality radiography services, using professional judgment skills and experience in the delivery of diagnostic imaging.
2. Provide the patient with a full explanation of the radiographic procedure prior to the examination commencing, this could include an explanation of the radiation dangers and risks and benefits to the patient.
3. Perform radiographic studies adhering to departmental protocols and guidelines adapting techniques as required appropriate to patient condition and age.
4. Manage the patient’s illness/trauma during the radiographic examination.
5. Perform the initial radiographic assessment of the radiographic images and to seek advice from senior staff, if necessary, prior to the patient leaving the department.
6. Assist in the provision of an effective radiography service liaising with wards and departments to prioritise workload and demand according to patient’s clinical urgency.
7. Be responsible for the accurate inputting of patient data onto the hospital information systems updating patient information as required.
8. Ensure all patients episodes are recorded and booked out once an examination is completed.
What you’ll need:
1. DCR(R) or BSc Radiography
2. Participation in CPD
3. Current state registration
4. High standard of practical radiographic skills
5. UK hospital experience
