Neonatal Physician Assistant
Responsibilities
Pediatrix Medical Group of Florida is seeking a full-time experienced Neonatal Physician Assistant to join our respected neonatology practice at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, a U.S. News-ranked children’s hospital and the largest NICU in Broward County.
* Joe DiMaggio NICU has 62 Level-IV NICU beds and 22 Level-II beds; average daily census of 70 and over 5,000 annual births.
* System-wide the two sister NICUs have 36 Level-III beds and an additional 8,000 annual births.
* Robust high-risk perinatal navigation program.
* Full complement of pediatric subspecialists.
* Care of full range of complex neonatal diagnoses.
* On site ECMO, therapeutic hypothermia, BPD programs, full range of ventilation modes including HFOV, HFJV, NAVA.
* Variety of shifts including 10-12 hour day shifts and 12-16 hour night shifts.
* Rotations to Memorial West and Memorial Miramar with 24 hour shifts.
Qualifications
* Current certification through National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
* Minimum of a master’s degree.
* Applicants must have completed a Neonatal PA training program or have current PA experience in a Neonatal ICU.
