Full job description
You will be expected to:
1. Work as part of multidisciplinary teams providing care to people with first onset psychosis and those potentially at high risk of developing psychotic disorders, across Havering.
2. Provide senior medical support to the team, and direct input on clinical cases.
3. Provide guidance and supervision to the team.
4. Work directly with young adults (and their families), and liaise as appropriate with other external mental health providers and acute hospitals.
5. Participate in the on-call rota; frequency is currently 1:50, with a 3% of basic salary, Category A on-call supplement (pro-rata).
6. Support peers and the team manager, and be an effective team member while working on your own initiative and supervising junior colleagues.
7. Have a commitment to collaborative working and actively support and liaise with other health and social professionals and agencies.
8. Play a key role in developing strong links with the services, including Neighbourhood Teams, Primary Care Networks, and any relevant third sector resources within Havering.
9. Develop systems to reach out to hard-to-reach communities to identify people who need EIP and EDP Service input.
10. Develop further links already established with the local acute trusts’ A&E departments and inpatient wards, in order to continually improve our services.
