We are looking to recruit a Clinical Psychologist with a specialist interest in pain and commitment to Health Psychology to work within our pain team based at Warwick Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a friendly, well established and highly regarded multidisciplinary pain team including Consultant Anaesthetists and Physiotherapists.
Main duties of the job
To provide a specialist Clinical Psychology service to the Pain Team to address the psychological needs of those referred with chronic pain conditions. To work autonomously within professional guidelines and exercise individual responsibility for the systematic governance of psychological practice within the service.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
To provide specialist psychological assessments requiring advanced theoretical and practical knowledge to a broad range of pain patients including inpatients and outpatients, referred to the Pain Team.
Person specification
Qualifications
* Doctoral level training in clinical psychology, including specifically models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics and neuropsychology, two or more distinct psychological therapies and lifespan developmental psychology as accredited by the BPS.
Experience
* Experience of psychological assessment and treatment of clients across the full range of care settings, including outpatient, community, primary care and inpatient settings.
Skills
* Skills in the use of complex methods of psychological assessment, intervention and management frequently requiring sustained and intense concentration.
Other
* Ability to teach and train others, using a variety of complex multimedia materials suitable for presentations within public, professional and academic settings.
