McKellar Consulting is delighted to be hiring for our long standing client, a large professional services firm, for the opportunity as a Global Mobility Tax Senior Manager.
This successful and growing service line will give you access to work with interesting clients and on high-profile engagements touching every corner of the world. This Senior Manager's remit will include tax technical, client development, and client-facing responsibilities. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with a confident, outward-facing skillset, and who is willing to invest time and energy in the marketplace.
Our client's UK Tax service line has experienced terrific growth over the past few years and can offer excellent infrastructure and support to develop further as a tax professional.
Key Responsibilities:
* Involvement with a wide range of clients with exposure to a variety of interesting and exciting work and projects
* Build, maintain and lead strong relationships with clients
* Being the day-to-day contact for allocated clients
* Review of complex tax returns, and preparation/review tax technical projects
* Preparation of written advice for clients, and helping to advise clients on global mobility issues
* Leadership of advisory projects carried out for clients
* Ensuring clients are provided with up-to-date information on relevant marketplace developments
* Leading in business development/proposals
* Managing and coaching more junior staff
Experience and Background:
* Experience with UK technical expatriate tax background, including tax briefings, tax returns, and advisory
* Experience of managing global assignee populations and experience of immigration, social security, and compensation accumulation for different countries
* Understands how to effectively manage a busy portfolio of global mobility clients and deliver sound and technically accurate advice
* High level personal responsibility and accountability for own and the team’s work
* Capacity to receive and deliver positive, constructive feedback
* Analytical; identifies core issues, investigates, evaluates, and integrates information
* Communicates with impact, both in speech and writing, and in a way that is open, honest, consistent, and clear
* Motivated by a passion for the international aspects of our work, professional proficiency, and a desire to serve and lead excellent global service teams
* Flexible, positive outlook, with a commitment to team working, acting as a role model to other team members
* Capable of working to deadlines, both for self and leading a team, showing resilience under pressure and ability to apply knowledge to non-routine situations
* You should be able to demonstrate sound professional judgement including the ability to identify issues/concerns and consult where appropriate with more senior staff
Qualifications and Skills:
* ATT/CTA qualified or equivalent professional qualification preferred but not mandatory
