The Assistant F&B Manager will support the Food & Beverage Manager in ensuring the efficient operation of the Old Barn Bar & Restaurant along with our newly opened halfway house.
Duties & Responsibilities
1. Drive innovation through our product and service throughout the business.
2. Ensure the food and beverage offering is delivered in a high-quality setting at all times.
3. Attend management meetings as required.
4. Ensure that financial targets are met or exceeded each month.
5. Work closely with both FOH & BOH teams through pro-active stock control and aim to reduce wastage at all times.
6. Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety legislation, including HACCP and COSHH responsibilities, Fire Evacuation Procedure, First Aid At Work, and maintain safe working practices. Focus on food allergens and customer information.
7. Update and review all on-site Risk Assessments as necessary.
8. Train the FOH Team on all necessary legislative aspects of their roles.
9. Focus on client needs and feedback, and ensure that any food queries or complaints are dealt with promptly and professionally.
10. Recruit and induct new starters in conjunction with the F&B Manager.
11. Ensure all equipment under your supervision is maintained in working order, kept clean, has clear operations instructions, is safe and secure, and report any issues at the first available opportunity. Regularly retrain staff on the use of equipment.
12. Receive and check all incoming stock against the invoice and rotate with existing stock as necessary.
13. Ensure end-of-day cashing up is completed in accordance with the SOP.
14. Lock up and secure the building at the end of the shift in accordance with the SOP.
A passion for excellent service and strong attention to detail are required for this position. Golf knowledge and experience of using the BRS system would be advantageous, however, not essential.
