Responsibilities for this role include:
* Handling inbound media enquiries, coordinating timely and robust responses to all stories.

* Compiling media reports, drafting briefing notes, communications plans, press releases, thought leadership pieces, talking points, Q&As, media pitches and speaking notes for use by senior executives of the firm.
* Manage internal media training with senior executives.
* Support the development and implementation of PR strategies across the firm, and for the various EMEA portfolio companies.
* Supporting proactive and reactive communications efforts.
* Supporting transactional communications.
* Contributing to internal communications content.
* Identifying and supporting event and award opportunities for the firm and its portfolio companies.
Qualifications:
* A minimum of three years’ experience in business/financial communications or a related role.
* A strong existing network of business journalists with direct relevance to Blackstone.
* Ability to swiftly grasp technical detail and write about it clearly and concisely for the media.
* Ability to prioritise and multi-task in dynamic and challenging situations.
* Ability to work with others as part of a team as well as taking individual responsibility.
* Must possess strong interpersonal skills and can interact effectively with other senior level employees and outside contacts.
* Experience managing reputational risk and advising on strategy.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Relevant experience in investment management or financial services is an advantage, but judgement and understanding the nuances of media messaging and reputation management is more critical.
* Foreign language skills relevant to EMEA markets.
