Position: 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Waltham Forest, London Pay: £90 - £120 per day (depending on experience) Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:45 PM Start Date: January We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a child with Special Educational Needs in Waltham Forest. This role offers the opportunity to make a real difference in the life of a child, providing tailored support to help them thrive academically and socially. Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 support to a child with SEN, assisting with both their academic and social needs. Implement tailored strategies to help the child access the curriculum and develop key skills. Support the child in building positive relationships with peers and staff. Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to ensure the child's individual learning plan is followed. Assist in classroom activities, helping other children where required. Ensure a safe and supportive environment for the child, monitoring progress and wellbeing. The Ideal Candidate: Experience working with children with SEN, particularly in a 1:1 setting. Strong understanding of how to support children with additional learning needs. Empathy, patience, and a commitment to supporting children's development. Ability to work well as part of a team and communicate effectively with staff and students. A proactive and positive attitude towards challenges.
