Job Description:
As a 3D CAD Engineer Programmer you will be responsible for programming customer orders for laser cutting machines. You will collaborate closely with customers from various industries, translating their designs into precise laser-cut parts. The role requires hands-on interaction with customer parts, helping to refine designs, and ensuring that high expectations are met.

Key Responsibilities of a 3D CAD Engineer Programmer:
* Program 3D tube and 2D flat parts for in-house laser cutting machines.
* Communicate effectively with customers, ensuring their designs are accurately produced and offering solutions to engineering challenges.
* Collaborate with internal teams such as CAD Drawing, Production, and Accounts to ensure seamless order processing.
* Prioritise and manage orders to meet delivery timelines, balancing complexity, urgency, and cutting time required.
* Support the sales team by providing technical insights and helping customers optimize their designs for laser cutting.
* Experiment with machine capabilities during downtime to explore new products and market opportunities.
* Maintain a high level of customer service throughout all interactions.
Requirements of a 3D CAD Engineer Programmer:
* Strong understanding and capability with SolidWorks/CAD software.
* Ability to read both 2D and 3D technical drawings, including individual parts and product assemblies.
* Strong time management and organisational skills.
* Reasonable knowledge of metal specifications is .
* Previous experience in laser cutting or knowledge of cutting methods is advantageous but not essential.
* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
* A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow within the company.
Working Hours:
Full-time - Monday to Friday - 8.30am - 5pm (with a 30 minute lunch break)
