We are looking for a strong and motivated Anaesthetic Nurse or ODP to join the perioperative team as a Theatre Practitioner.
This is a full-time role working 4 shifts per week between Monday and Saturday.
Main duties of the job
As an Anaesthetic Practitioner you will:
* Support and assess patients prior to the surgery.
* Support the anaesthetist and prepare any specialist equipment.
* Communicate effectively within the multidisciplinary team including Scrub, Anaesthetics, and Recovery Practitioners.
* Communicate effectively with other departments including Sterile Services, Wards, and Imaging to ensure effective and smooth-running patient care.
* Maintain and enhance your own professional development.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Be a qualified and registered Practitioner (RN or ODP).
Experience
* Have post-registration experience working as an Anaesthetic Practitioner.
* Be patient-oriented with a focus on continuous service improvement.
* Have evidence of continuous professional development and its application.
* Experience working as a Scrub Practitioner.
* Experience of planning, co-ordinating and running the daily workload in a theatre suite, including the supervision of staff.
