To be responsible for undertaking a wide range of reception duties and the provision of general support to the multidisciplinary team. Duties can include, but are not limited to, greeting and directing patients, effective use of the appointment system, booking appointments, ordering repeat prescriptions, the processing of information and assisting patients as required. You will also attend regular staff training meetings and contribute towards these. To act as the central point of contact for patients, the distribution of information, messages and enquiries for the clinical team, liaising with multi-disciplinary team members and external agencies such as secondary care and community service providers. We are looking for a highly organised, positive, motivated person with excellent communication skills to join our friendly busy team. The reception team are responsible for creating a positive and caring patient experience, assisting and directing patients in accessing the most appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous and efficient manner. This is a fast-paced environment and remaining calm in the workplace is essential whilst maintaining a professional approachable manner. You must be able to multi-task and prioritise your work for the needs of the Practice.
