Background & Purpose of the Job:
eRetailers play an increasing role in the consumer decision journey and serve as key consumer touchpoints for brands to have the 1 to 1 conversation, inspire them about products, and delight them with experiences. The business model of eRetailers has evolved to behave more as a self-service interface to display our product offers with rich content solutions and manage traffic via advanced digital marketing solutions. To address these new challenges, we need to reinforce eCommerce teams; structure them to design and operate activation plans across eRetail platforms (Pure Players, Marketplaces, Bricks and Clicks and Direct To Consumer) that combine media and sales efficiency in a seamless and perfectly consistent way.
This role is based in Scarborough, ON and is hybrid.
Who You Are & What You’ll Do:
* For each Bricks & Clicks account, optimize sales conversion and trade-up, as well as In-House Share (IHS) where available.
* Lead the development and execution of all performance marketing campaigns on e-retailers (Walmart, Costco), including display, pay-per-click (PPC), paid social, search engine optimization (SEO), and affiliate marketing.
* Maximize ROI of the retail activation budget.
Driving visibility for Groupe SEB Brands:
* For each account, develop a detailed understanding of online shopping behaviour (search, taxonomy, traffic sources).
* Identify levers required to drive visibility and most relevant content for sales conversion.
* Set up and implement optimal action plans to ensure Groupe SEB brands and products online visibility on the retailer platforms and other online touchpoints. Provide adequate reporting.
* Work in collaboration with:
o KAM to ensure alignment with account objectives and tactical short-term topics (i.e. plugged to the daily business and competitive environment). Ensure full cohesiveness between offline and online (One Retail Strategy).
o E-retail Content Manager to align with content & innovation strategies – promo plan visibility, launch guidelines.
o Retailers’ Performance marketing teams to negotiate deals and set up joint plans whenever possible.
Monitoring and improving performance of KPIs:
* KPIs: IHS (when available) and online POS sales weight of business.
* Campaigns ROI.
* Understanding of review and content syndication tools.
* Create & implement clear, transparent goal setting process. Foster data-based decision-making processes.
* Collect and share eCommerce industry expertise & best practices.
Budget Management:
* Able to manage large budgets and maximize efficiency > $0.5m budgets.
* Negotiate with Trade Marketing / Ecommerce Teams of the retailer to ensure the best counterparts for the contract investments.
* Collaborate with external agencies and manage non contractual ATL/Coop investments (e.g. Criteo).
* May be responsible for briefing agencies and managing Retail Media Sponsored Search campaigns (e.g. Mabaya, Amazon).
What You’ll Need To Succeed:
Soft skills:
* Ability to team up and work transversally in a complex environment – across silos.
* High level of autonomy and agility needed to create adaptable roadmaps and evolve within Groupe SEB complexity.
* English for international exposure.
* Ability to influence at C-level.
* Ability to negotiate and influence customers to secure activation plans for Groupe SEB.
Hard skills:
* > 3 years’ experience in marketing and/or sales.
* Experience in Digital Marketing teams, Retailer Trade Marketing Teams, Shopper Marketing Agencies, Key Account Managers, and/or Buyers from Retail Background.
* Digital marketing experience with knowledge of KPIs and direct experience in managing eCommerce activation plans.
* Clear consumer/shopper centric mindset: we look for a strong marketeer sitting in a sales driven environment.
* Process driven, data centric and can demonstrate experience in driving action by leveraging data visualization tools and sources.
