Brief Description
As a Lead Payroll Analyst, you'll plan, project manage, and deliver the annual pay review process and Performance-Related Pay (PRP) schemes. You'll provide comprehensive reward support for salary reviews, PRP, and incentive schemes.
Your main responsibilities will be to:
1. Plan, project manage and deliver on behalf of Network Rail Shared Services (NRSS) the annual pay award and performance-related pay (PRP) schemes for management grades (Band 1-4) and general grades (Band 5-8) in line with published deadlines.
2. Produce analytical reporting and analysis concerning the pay award process, providing comprehensive reward support for the salary review, performance-related pay, and incentive schemes.
3. Produce and oversee quantitative and qualitative HR Data analysis to support reward activities around pay awards, performance-related pay, and employee remuneration.
4. Provide information relating to salaried, allowance, and performance ratings to the wider HR community around reward and benefits in general including pay, performance-related pay, and benefits.
5. Regularly review and maintain data accuracy and integrity within the Oracle system making recommendations for improvements.
6. Use existing knowledge of analytics systems to develop and maintain bespoke dashboards and tools to improve the team's analytical capabilities for faster and more accurate reporting.
7. Manage medium to large pay and reward-related projects on behalf of NRSS, using reward and payroll knowledge.
8. Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders including Group HR, Group Reward and Benefits, and Group Pensions to maintain rewards, benefits, and policies.
9. Work with the Communication team to effectively communicate salary and benefit changes to HR and wider business, maintaining accurate FAQs and E-pay communications.
10. Work with internal and external stakeholders to obtain accurate reward-related data for analysis and reporting purposes.
The Ideal Candidate
1. Previous experience of managing annual pay award & PRP schemes in a unionised environment.
2. Degree, equivalent qualification, or experience in a relevant subject, such as mathematics or statistics, or equivalent relevant reward and benefits experience.
3. Experience in analysing large datasets and using complex analytical frameworks to support decision-making with a proven ability to innovate and create solutions to complex modelling issues.
4. Excellent communication skills and ability to negotiate and influence effectively with all levels of an organisation.
5. Project management experience, delivering small to medium-sized projects.
6. Excellent presentation skills adjusting presentation style to differing audiences.
What could set you apart:
1. Experience with working with employee data and in an HR/Payroll environment or Reward & Benefits team.
2. Previous experience using Oracle or similar systems advantageous.
