Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and manage the electrical installation and systems for a large residential project, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards.
2. Coordinate and supervise electrical subcontractors and tradespeople on-site, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of electrical works.
3. Ensure compliance with electrical safety regulations, building codes, and company policies.
4. Review and approve electrical designs, drawings, and technical submittals to ensure they meet project specifications and client requirements.
5. Develop and maintain project schedules, tracking electrical milestones and ensuring timely delivery of electrical systems.
6. Collaborate closely with the Project Manager, other departments, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.
7. Monitor and control the electrical budget, ensuring costs are managed effectively and staying within project limits.
8. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or challenges related to electrical systems during the construction phase.
9. Perform regular site inspections to assess the quality of electrical work, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
10. Provide technical support to the site team and resolve any electrical issues that arise during the project.
11. Maintain accurate project documentation, including reports, quality control checks, and risk assessments.
12. Ensure that all electrical works are completed safely, within budget, and on schedule.
Requirements:
1. Proven experience (5+ years) as an Electrical Manager or in a similar role within residential construction projects.
2. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, lighting, and power distribution for residential buildings.
3. Excellent understanding of building codes, regulations, and electrical safety standards.
4. Demonstrated ability to manage and lead electrical teams and subcontractors effectively.
5. Experience with project management, scheduling, and budgeting.
6. Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
7. Relevant electrical qualifications (e.g., City & Guilds, 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations).
8. Knowledge of electrical installation software and tools is an advantage.
9. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
10. Experience with residential projects in London or similar areas is a plus.
